O.K.  we have a winner.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to
enter this Giveaway,
to become a follower
to post about it either on your Blog or Facebook page
and to Like The Virginia House and
The Vintage Bricoleur.

Also I could not have done this without one of my favorite bloggers
Jillian
from The Virginia House.
She created an awesome sign that truly looks vintage, and I am sure that Jana will be proud to hang it in her house.
Did you catch that?

In my last post I shared a Before/After project.

Remember this little French Bed?

A little peek.

A close-up.

Full of pillows, a pretty throw, and a blue and white stripped ticking.

There she is.

Now,
Who will this little bed go home with?

I think she turned out so sweet.

Again,

And after.  So much better.

Who will take home this little French Bed?

This is a before and after post.

This sweet little bed came to us like this.

The curvy lines were great but she needed a lot of work.

We pulled out tons of this.

She was also missing a side rail.

Never fear, my handy husband fixed one up to match perfectly!

Cute little legs.

The nasty fabric had to go.

The new side piece ready to be attached.

Here she is with a fresh coat of Antique White paint.

She also needed new strapping.

The strapping all finished, and the paint all distressed.

The full reveal of this makeover will be in my next post.

Sorry.

It is more fun this way.

By the way this little French Bed will be available at

What we like to do in SLO during ROTP

I thought I would share a few pics of what we like to do in the San Luis Obispo area while we are at
Remnants of the Past.
This show is the biggest that we do, so I am devoting a lot of blog posts to it.
My husband was born and raised in that area, so we have taken many trips down there to visit friends and family.  Everyone's favorite thing to do is go to the beach.
This is the Pismo pier.

Pretty shell opened up like a butterfly.

I love these old pilings.

The kids enjoying the waves and looking for shells.

Happy to be at the beach.

It is so relaxing there.  If you get the chance, after you have shopped till you drop, take a drive to the beach.  You won't be disappointed.
Oh, also stop in at our favorite fish market, Pier 46 in Templeton.  The best fish and chips ever!

Trying Something New..........

I want to try something new.
For the next couple of weeks, up until Remnants of the Past, most of my post will be featuring the items that we will have available for sale there.  It will be kind of Miss Mustard Seed style.  Except that my photos will not look as pretty.

In a past post, wondering How Do You All Get So Many Comments, some suggested that I show more pics of what we sell. I feel like I do show you what we sell, but this will be different.  I will be showing you what is GOING to be available.  This takes a little more planning for me because things move so fast around here.  But here goes...
                                                Old Jars
Homemade Soap
More Jars

Little Tin Stars

More pics to come.  I am waiting for them to upload.

A Giveaway to Celebrate

I did a post about a Giveaway that I had planned.  I was waiting for my 100th follower.  Before I could post it, I got not 1, but 2 more followers.  This may not seem like a big deal to some, but this blog and business is pretty new for me, and every little number counts.

So...
Enough of that.

To celebrate 100 followers,

Here is what we will do, Jillian from The Virginia House has prepared one of her awesome signs especially for this Giveaway.
On lucky reader will receive,

This.

Don't you just love it?

A sign reading,
Jones & Co. Apothecary.

She has two Etsy shops with great items for you to choose from and for this week only, if you use the special code, LOVETVB for either of the shops you will receive 15% off of your order.

This sign is hand painted with an aged look.

I am an artist that loves to create things that look like they
belong in the past.  The shabby, chippy, and yellowed
days gone by is my inspiration.
I do custom orders as well as many of my own creations.

Here are the rules.
1. Follow this Blog (The Vintage Bricoleur) and leave a comment to let me know that you do.

2. Follow The Virginia House Blog and leave a comment here to tell me that you do.

3. Post about his Giveaway on either your Blog or your Facebook page and leave a comment for each post telling me that you have done so.

4. Follow both The Virginia House and The Vintage Bricoleur on Facebook and leave a comment telling me that you have done so.

(PLEASE LEAVE SEPARATE COMMENTS SO THAT YOU HAVE MORE CHANCES OF WINNING.  SEVERAL ARE LEAVING JUST ONE COMMENT, BUT DOING ALL FOUR ITEMS)

So let the fun begin!

This Giveaway begins September 18th and will end September 25th at midnight pacific time.  The winner will be announced the next day.

Don't forget to take advantage of the 15% off of your purchase at those Etsy shops!

Have Fun!
